Tieline has been enabling broadcasters to capture sound bites of moments of history for over two decades by way of audio codecs for live reporting, remote broadcasts, sports commentary, studio-to-studio links and audio distribution applications.  Thousands of radio and television broadcasters rely on Tieline codecs every single day for rock-solid broadcast solutions over the public internet, or any QoS-enabled IP network, including T1 and T3 connections and private WANs with MPLS. Tieline has been recognized with numerous international awards for pioneering technology and has driven innovation in audio codecs and IP streaming.

Tieline codecs are capable of transporting audio simultaneously over any combination of IP, SIP, ISDN, or cellular networks. Codecs include the Gateway 8/16 multichannel IP codec, the Gateway 4 codec, the ViA remote codec, and the Report-IT Enterprise app for live smartphone reporting and contribution applications. The Gateway codec streams up to 16 IP audio channels with AoIP support for AES67, ST 2110-30, ST 2022-7, RAVENNA, Livewire+, NMOS, Ember+, AES3 and analog I/O as standard. An optional WheatNet-IP card delivers Wheatstone interoperability, and an optional Dante card will soon offer Dante streaming capability. All codecs can be fully configured through an embedded HTML5 Web-GUI interface. In addition, all codecs and Report-IT app users can be remotely controlled using Tieline’s Cloud Codec Controller from anywhere, anytime with an internet connection.
