Caroline Pouron is Podcast Commissioner at Sveriges Radio and Chair of the EBU Podcast Group. With a background in journalism, leadership, and format development, she has played a key role in shaping some of Sweden’s most acclaimed podcasts. In 2024, Caroline expanded her commissioning portfolio to include children’s content. She developed a new strategic direction for Sveriges Radio’s children’s programming, grounded in the listening habits and needs of today’s young audiences. The strategy includes a shift toward on-demand-first production, a dedicated children’s interface in the Sveriges Radio app, and new formats that support development and imagination. Caroline’s vision is to build lasting listening habits among young audiences by offering inspiring, high-quality audio that fosters curiosity, storytelling, and independent thinking.
