US-Correspondent/podcast host, ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation)

Christophe Kohl is an award-winning journalist, international correspondent, and podcast host covering politics, culture, and global affairs. With a French-Austrian background and early experience in international youth programs, his work is shaped by cultural fluency and a commitment to clear, accessible journalism. He began his career at Austria’s Hitradio Ö3, where he covered major entertainment events including the Academy Awards, interviewed actors and directors, and worked as an editor for Austria’s flagship radio morning program, Ö3 Wecker. In 2015, Christophe moved to Paris as a foreign correspondent for ORF. He reported on the Paris terror attacks, the negotiations surrounding the Paris Climate Agreement, and the 2017 French presidential and legislative elections. Since 2019, he has been based in Washington, D.C., reporting on the United States during key moments, including the Black Lives Matter protests following the killing of George Floyd, the COVID-19 pandemic and two U.S. presidential elections. He also developed a cross-country road-trip reporting format ahead of both U.S. presidential elections, producing tailored content for television, radio, and social media. In addition to daily reporting, Christophe hosts the podcast Inside Washington, which examines U.S. politics and society for an international audience through interviews, analysis, and on-the-ground reporting.
