Matt Wilkinson has been a broadcaster for 26 years and currently hosts one of the biggest shows in UK radio, Afternoons on Heart. Starting out in local radio, Matt joined London’s Heart in 2008, shortly after Global was formed. After stints on Evenings and Early Breakfast he landed the 1-4pm slot in 2014. As a father of three young children, he engages audiences particularly well with relatable content as well as a passion for great music. Matt has worked as a podcaster, host and voiceover. As well as presenting on Heart, Matt can now be heard every weekday on Riviera Radio in Monaco and Southeast France. Matt is also the voice of TLC, a TV channel broadcasting from London, where he provides self written continuity between programmes. Recently Matt has used social media to share insights on how he forms his radio links, weaving production into the creative process. Through this, he has thousands of followers within and outside of the industry. He has gone on to become a mentor himself by regularly offering his time to those learning the craft.
