Thomas Sarri has been with Sámi Radio at Swedish Radio since 1995, starting as a reporter and focusing primarily on news throughout his nearly 30-year career. In 2012, he earned the Sámi Journalism Award for exposing political interference in a state investigation, shedding light on the Sámi Parliament’s challenges with self-determination.
In February 2022, Sarri became Head of Sámi Radio after over a decade as head of the newsroom. Born in 1972 in the Sámi village of Nikkaluokta, northern Sweden, he grew up without his parents’ Sámi language due to their experiences of racism. However, he reclaimed it through university studies and his work.
Sarri is deeply committed to serving the Sámi community and creating content that educates wider audiences about Sámi culture, history, and society.
Alexandra is the Founder and CEO of Frontstage Entertainment, Greece’s leading radio group, reaching one-third of listeners daily. The company also produces events, from concerts to corporate gatherings. Frontstage’s lineup includes Greece’s first kids’ radio station, one of the few on FM globally, and “Kids Radio+,” a subscription service with audiobooks, educational content, and online stations for Gen A.
A former President and Vice President of the Association of Greek Commercial Radio Stations, Alexandra has shaped radio industry policy for over a decade. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of European Radios and has been featured in Greece’s “Fortune 40 Under 40” and “Most Powerful Women in Business.” In 2022, she was named “Women Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Athens Chamber of Commerce.
Henrik Claesson is a user experience designer and UX Lead for Product Development at Swedish Radio, focusing on the development of their new Radio Production System (RPS). As lead UX, he collaborates with cross-functional teams to design intuitive products that meet the needs of users and stakeholders. He has over two decades of experience in the tech industry with a background rooted in informatics and software engineering.
