The Journey of Diversity
Susanne Fatah, journalist and HR strategist at Swedish Radio was headhunted 2006 when launching a youth channel in Malmö called Din gata 100, 6. Since then she has left the studio and being “on air” and proceed a career in D&I in the company. Through workshops and lectures on unconscious bias and demographic analyses, she hopes that journalists will make more inclusive, engaging and credible journalism that appeals to everyone in society.
“Diversity in the workplace is partly about whether we have a mixture of differences and whether we take advantage of and benefit from the differences. To do this, the culture of the workplace plays a major role. The culture needs to be inclusive. If we feel inclusive, our listeners will feel that too. The journey starts within ourselves, she says”.
