Nessa McGann is an independent media consultant with over 25 years’ experience in radio programming and management. A member of the Programming committee for Radiodays Europe, Nessa was Content Director and Station Manager for the No.1 Regional youth station SPIN South West for 13 years. Nessa holds an MA in media studies from the University of Limerick and was previously chairperson of Learning Waves, the training body for Irish commercial radio, CRAOL, the community radio association and a member of the IMRO awards committee for Irish radio. In 2020 she founded McGann Media, a consultancy focused on training, funding and talent development. She is currently project manager for #Ourstoprotect, Irelands largest environmental radio programming initiative and in 2021 she led ‘Irish Music Month’ a project that saw Irish Independent radio stations work together for the first time to promote Irish Music during the pandemic.
