Since 1994 Johannes Scherer he’s continuously working as an On Air personality for the most popular radio station of the German state of Hesse, Hit Radio FFH, celebrating his 30th anniversary with FFH this year. Scherer is currently one of three hosts of their morning show Guten Morgen Hessen, weekdays between 5 and 10 am and is one of Hesse’s most popular radio personalities. He won a German Radio Award in 2005 as best host, three World Medals both as presenter and radio comedian at New York Radio Festival and was nominated for Deutscher Radiopreis three times in several categories. In addition to his radio work, Johannes Scherer has also been a very successful stand-up comedian for several decades. 2012 he was awarded the Fränkischer Kabarettpreis (Franconian Satire Award) for this, two of his solo shows were recorded and broadcasted on TV by the public broadcaster Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt. Between 2003 and 2010 he co-hosted the Sunday breakfast show WECK UP on national TV station Sat.1. Scherer is married and lives in Frankfurt.
