Kerry Donahue is a journalist, producer and trainer with a long history of innovation in radio and on-demand audio. Previously the Director of the Audio Program at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, Donahue is a former executive producer at New York Public Radio and a member of the leadership team that launched the daily public radio news program The Takeaway.
As a producer of original content at Audible in the early 2000s, Donahue produced on-demand original audio long before podcasting became a household term. Her work has been heard across the airwaves on productions from PRX, NPR, WNYC and more.
Donahue is the Director of Training at PRX. PRX is a non-profit media organization specializing in audio journalism and storytelling. Their award-winning portfolio ranges from iconic public radio programs like The World, This American Life, The Takeaway and Reveal, to a growing body of podcast-first productions including the Radiotopia network, home to 99% Invisible, Ear Hustle and Criminal. Each month, PRX reaches more than 28.5 million listeners and generates in excess of 70 million podcast downloads.
