Speaker Profile: Leslie Gaston-Bird

Leslie Gaston-Bird (AMPS, M.P.S.E.) is a freelance re-recording mixer, sound editor, and author of the new book “Women in Audio” published by Focal Press. She is a voting member of the Recording Academy and member of its Producers and Engineers (P&E) Wing. Prior to that, she was a tenured Associate Professor of Recording Arts at the University of Colorado Denver (2005-2018) where she served as Chair of the Department of Music and Entertainment Industry Studies for two years. Leslie worked in public radio for 12 years, first as a Broadcast / Recording Technician at National Public Radio and then as Audio Systems Manager for Colorado Public Radio.
