RateOnAir: a portable solution for Radio measurement

Arnaud Annebicque who is regional business director at Médiamétrie in France explained how the technology that captures data is small in size. This is key as it allows you attach the meter to your belt/bag/desk and track radio and TV usage.

The 900 panellists recruited in Paris had access to 38 radio stations and 100 TV channels. The meter can track exactly where and when the user listens to the radio and watches TV. All 900 participants took part in a month-long study and results will be published in the coming weeks.

Towards the end of the session, Arnaud opened up  the floor to questions. Many were asked, including what happens when the participants use headphones? Arnaud explained that they connect their headphones to a splitter that connects to their device and the RateOnAir.

Thanks to Arnaud for this  thoroughly interesting talk, and we look forward to seeing the results of the Paris survey!
