Sadly Princess Elettra Marconi, daughter of the famous inventor of the radio, could not attend however she sent her best wishes and a message to the participants of Radiodays Europe, she said “Good evening ladies and gentlemen I am Princess Elettra Marconi and it gives me great please to talk with you tonight about my father Guillermo Marconi the father of radio and my father… he once said that in the new area thought would be transmitted be transmitted by radio…my father created history with his invention of radio technology…I am very sorry my health has not allowed me to be there… know I am thinking of you”.
This year there are 1,500 people attending Radiodays Europe, with 120 speakers, 55 Sessions and 60 exhibitors, there is something for everyone! Whether you are from Iceland or Ireland, Dubai or the British Virgin Islands there is something for everyone at Radiodays!
Radiodays this year has seen it’s largest turn out from the French radio industry who make up the largest number of delegates this year. This year the event all sessions are being translated into French curtsey of Les Médias Francophones Publics. Big numbers are attending from other European countries although delegates come from six continents.
This year Radiodays Europe will be covered by our 18 Media Partners and our teams of bloggers who load up to the minute content onto the website throughout the days. This coverage will also be reflected on Social Media with winners of the Next Gen competition and the EBU Skills Xchangers adding to the output from the conference. Finally, there will be a number of announcements during the first day, Monday, which you shouldn’t miss and if you can’t attend the conference the Catch Up videos will be available for a small cost.
