Dr Thorsten Schmiege, President of the Bavarian Regulatory Authority for New Media joins us at Radiodays

Dr. Thorsten Schmiege is President of the Bavarian Regulatory Authority for New Media (BLM) since October 2021. He began his work for BLM in September 2019 as Managing Director.

As part of the nationwide working group of the state media authorities, he ist currently Deputy Chairman of the Directors‘ Conference of the State Media Authorities (DLM) and the Commission for Licensing and Supervision (ZAK). He also coordinates the Media Authorities‘ Expert Committee on Infrastructure and Innovation, is a member oft he Commission on Concentration in the Media Sector (KEK) and a deputy member of the Commission for the Protection of Minors in the Media (KJM).
