EBU’s Head of Radio Edita Kudláčová joins us at Radiodays in Munich

Edita Kudláčová is the Head of Radio at the European Broadcasting Union.

She works with EBU members as well as wider radio and podcast industry on advocacy for radio, especially focusing on distribution via connected screens and dashboard. With the relevant international committees and professional groups, she has been developing work around the relation of radio and podcasting, providing space to share, network and learn for senior audio makers and radio creatives, and also looking at innovation happening in the radio world today.

Prior to that, Edita worked at Czech Radio where among other projects she set up an innovation team Creative HUB that she lead as its Chief Creative Producer until 2021. The team explored and produced innovative audio content, these included podcasting, audio-visual stories, as well immersive content, they also produced some of the first podcast formats gaining national reach and awareness. With her former team at Czech Radio, they won multiple awards in journalism and public service, including two Journalism Awards for the best online journalism, 2018 Prix Europa for the Best Digital Audio Project and many others.

She is a big fan of both live radio as well as podcasts and truly believes in the healthy symbiosis and bright future of both.
