Nickelback – Biography
Nickelback formed in 1995 in Alberta, Canada and have gone on to become one of the most successful Canadian rock bands of all time, and taking their style of rock music around the globe. They have sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and Billboard ranked them the most successful rock group of the 2000s with their four-time Grammy nominated song “How You Remind Me” listed not only as the best-selling rock song of that decade, but as radio’s the most played song of the 00s.
Few bands did more than Nickelback to establish the slick sound of commercially minded post-grunge rock in the 00s with a blend of gruff vocals, led by vocalist Chad Kroeger, radio-friendly guitars and big choruses.
In 2005, the band put out their biggest-selling album to date, “All The Right Reasons” which produced three top 10 singles and five top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 including “Photograph”, “Far Away”, and “Rockstar”. The album sold over 8 Million copies in the US alone.
The band are about to embark on a US tour this summer and working on their 10th studio album.
