Vinuri Perara is an award winning producer that has spent over a decade working at the BBC in audio production and live radio broadcasts. She has worked on both daytime and specialist shows at the BBC, across the three major youth stations – Radio 1, Radio 1Xtra and Asian Network.
She currently works as part of the daily team that produces Radio 1 Breakfast with Greg James, broadcasting to an audience of 4 million daily.
Vinuri was personally approached and handpicked to launch the Strictly Come Dancing podcast in 2018. Being a team player with an extremely strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail made her the perfect candidate to kickstart the project.
In 2020, Vinuri was recognised for her exceptional tenacity, talent, and a proven trajectory in radio by being included in the Radio Academy’s 30 under 30 list.
Vinuri prides herself on her ability to deliver a final product that is of the highest quality for a wide range of audiences.
