Radio Hack Europe 2019 kicks off!

The Radiodays Europe, Radio Hack Europe has started! From 17.00 today participants of the Hack have joined a hackathon that will run day and night until Sunday 31 March. 

The Hackers will work in teams on projects to create new prototyps of concepts, products and servies with a specific focus on radio. 

Participation are coming from different backgrounds, different companies with a high number of students from within the EPFL campus itself.  The hackathon is open to and as the organsiers said in their promotion of the event it’s all about motivation, fresh thinking and keeping an open mind! 

The Hack is taking place at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), one of the two Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology, which is located in Lausanne, Switzerland. This year Peter Niegel, General Manager of Radiodays Europe and Mounir Kirchane, Director of Initiative for Media Innovation, EPFL, welcomed the participants of the Hack and opened proceedings. 

The ideas and prototypes that will be developed during the hackathon will be evaluated by an international jury of experts, and the winners will receive a trophy and will have the opportunity to present their work to the participants of the Radiodays Europe conference on 1-2 April 2019.

The jury judging the Radio Hack Europe winners will assess all the ideas on Sunday!
