Gene “Bean” Baxter is a 30-year veteran of the “Kevin And Bean” breakfast show on alternative radio’s legendary KROQ Los Angeles, USA. The show was inducted into the NAB Broadcasting Hall Of Fame in 2015 and the National Radio Hall Of Fame In 2019.
Gene Baxter and Kevin Ryder have hosted “Kevin & Bean” continuously since 1989. Initially considered a failed experiment, “Kevin & Bean” worked its way up the ratings and first landed the coveted No. 1 ranking in the market in 2003. The two have interviewed some of rock’s biggest stars, from Billie Eilish, the Foo Fighters, Jack White and Radiohead to Tori Amos, Arcade Fire, Green Day and U2. After almost 30 years, the legendary show ended in 2019. Gene is now living in the UK.
