Speaker Profile: Vincent Giret

Vincent Giret is running the 24/7 news radio in France. He played a major part for Radio France regarding the construction of the first public service overall news media, with France Televisions, France Médias Monde and Ina.

Vincent Giret has a very strong expertise in news-making, in TV, radio, newspaper and web. For the past sixteen years, he has worked as journalist and Managing Editor for several media such as 

Le Parisien – Aujourd’hui en France (2005-2007), Lagardère Active (2007-2008), France 24 (2008-2010), Libération (2010-2013), and Le Monde (2013-2014).

Historian by training and graduated from CFPJ (Paris formation center of journalists), Vincent Giret started his career as a correspondent in Cairo for Matin de Paris, then he became a reporter within the international department before cofounding in 1998 the news agency “Saga”.
