Participants gave very high marks for Radiodays Europe in Vienna, according to the participant survey made by Kantar media. 80% said they were very satisfied or satisfied, giving a 4 or 5 rating on a 1-5 scale. The average satisfaction score was 4.
Taking a closer look at the feedback, we see that most scores are up and that the ratings are the best since Dublin (though scores have always been close to 4 on average). 76% gave a 4 or 5 for speakers & content, the same score for the conference centre venue, 80% gave a 4-5 for the variety of topics and 66% gave a 4-5 for useful ideas.
The Monday night Radio Night at the Vienna Town Hall was a success with 92% satisfied or very satisfied. The same can´t be said about the lunch and coffee catering at the Austria Center! This however is about the only thing that participants didn’t like with scores were very low for the food and coffee in the breaks. We have taken note of this and it’s something we will work on for next year.
This year all who attended agreed that the exhibition took a step up a level and this was reflected in the higher marks given in the survey than in previous years.
The sessions which had the highest scores from participants were Midge Ure, Mobile Journalism, Ben Hammersley, Top 10 radio promotions, Why Kool brands hate radio, Smart speakers and Podcasting – where is it going? The opening session also scored well.
From the Sunday activities it’s worth mentioning the success of the new features, especially the first Radiodays Women meeting, but also Radio Hack Europe, the workshops and masterclasses – Elvis Durran being a particular favorite!
