As we announced last week, the Coronavirus Radio Ideas Awards will honour radio professionals from around the world who have used their brands and platforms in creative and innovative ways to better serve their listeners, partners and communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here are the categories for the upcoming awards as well as the details you need on how to enter. Don’t forget that any company or individual working in radio and podcasting can nominate themselves or others for these awards.

How to nominate yourself, your station and your idea…

All radio professionals are encouraged to go to the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/coronavirusradioideas where you can nominate yourself, your station and your idea make sure you use the #coronavirusawards. The closing date for nominations is 31 July 2020 – your nomination must be on the Facebook page by midnight of your local time zone. If you have already posted on this page we’ve got it, you don’t need to post it again!

Any company or individual working in radio and podcasting can nominate themselves or others for these awards.
We want to hear how you have been innovating; how you have helped your local community, your listeners, your station and anything you think is noteworthy within the categories mentioned. Radiodays Europe will post on their website the rules for judging all nominations but please don’t be disappointed if you don’t make the nomination! You’re a winner for what you have done so far for your listeners!!!

Voting will be open to all radio, podcast and audio professionals at, but more about who can vote later. First you need to nominate yourself before 31 July 2020 when the voting closes: https://www.facebook.com/groups/coronavirusradioideas
