BBC Senior Sustainability Manager Carly Wallis joins the line-up

Carly Wallis is Senior Sustainability Manager for BBC News in the UK and Overseas. As a former Production Manager, with over 15 years’ experience including Newsnight and Panorama, Carly is using her production expertise and technical understanding of newsgathering to guide BBC News, Current Affairs and World Service teams to adapt for a cleaner future. Carly is responsible for News divisional strategy implementation in alignment with the BBC Group’s Science Based Targets, and as a division that is global by design, flexible thinking and adaptability is essential.

As a believer that ultimately people deliver organisational change, relationship building sits at the heart of the role. Co-creator of BBC News Green Action Plan and member of Bafta Sustainability News Consortium, Carly is a keen collaborator and believes in the importance of working together to enact change in order to create a sustainable future for the Broadcast Media industry.
