The British Podcast Awards, powered by Amazon Music, today opened the doors for entries in this year’s competition, with the awards being held in July to reveal the winners.

Now entering its fifth year, the British Podcast Awards has a history of highlighting the true breadth of UK podcasting. Previous big winners have included George the Poet, Chris and Rosie Ramsey, David Walliams, Deborah Frances-White and Greg James with podcasts ranging from My Dad Wrote A Porno and Dear Joan and Jericha to Brown Girls Do It Too and The Guardian’s Today in Focus.

Matt Deegan, co-founder of the British Podcast Awards says: “We’re delighted that awards continue to be supported by a huge cross-section of the podcast sector. Whether you’re making a show in a kitchen, working for a large publisher, building a platform for listening or helping shows make money – we’re pleased that everyone can be involved in the British Podcast Awards”.
