Jacqueline Bierhorst has been a trailblazer in commercial radio since 1987, specializing in distribution, marketing, and content. She has a proven track record of launching and managing successful TV and radio channels in the Netherlands and Belgium. From 2011 to 2015, she led the rollout of the DAB+ network in the Netherlands, and since 2015, she has served as Project Director of Digital Radio NL, coordinating public and commercial broadcasters with the Ministry of Economic Affairs to promote digital radio.
Bierhorst is the owner of Jacky B Entertainment Solutions, President of WorldDAB, and a member of its Steering Board. She also consults for the Flemish Government on DAB+ implementation, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and serves as Country Manager for Radioplayer Netherlands. An active ambassador for digital radio across Europe, her efforts continue to shape the industry.
Ann is a radio producer-turned broadcast engineer who specialises in all things studios and workflow. Equally happy making programmes as running broadcast infrastructure projects, her career so far has included 12 years at the BBC, teaching journalism in New Zealand and training broadcast engineers and producers in South Sudan. She also travels the world as the workflow consultant for Broadcast Bionics.
Ann specialises in object-based media and founded Mediabobs in 2023 in order to help the broadcast industry prepare for the future of how programmes will be produced and consumed.
Ann is also the co-Director of Radio TechCon – the UK radio and audio industry’s technical and engineering event, which takes place in London each year.
Bobby Carter is an award-winning creative leader, DJ, and cultural ambassador.
He serves as host and series producer of NPR’s Tiny Desk, leading the team’s creative vision, direction, and curation across all divisions and platforms. His work has ushered in the media organization’s youngest and most diverse audience, averaging 40 million views per month. This work also includes representing Tiny Desk and Tiny Desk-related programming on-air, podcasts, and social media. Since joining the team in 2014, Bobby’s creative strategy has been at the intersection of music, storytelling, technology, and engagement, forging partnerships with HBO, Amazon, and Complexcon.
Bobby has produced the most viewed Tiny Desk concerts on NPR Music’s YouTube channel accumulating more than 600 million views including viral moments from Usher, Juvenile, Mac Miller, Anderson .Paak, Sesame Street, Chaka Khan, and Justin Timberlake. He turned a modest celebration of Black History Month into a cross-cultural event combining music, film, photojournalism, and commentary. Carter leveraged this blueprint to pull new teams together to bring a multi-dimensional, multi-continent, multi-platform celebration of Black Music Month, LatinX Heritage Month, Asian American/Pacific Islander Month, and Indigenous People Month.
Gemma has spent 25 years in media and entertainment, holding executive positions in Australia, New Zealand, US and UK. She has since had her own talent management company where she’s specialised in media negotiations, along with managing some of Australia’s most engaging and high profile talent. She is Co-Founder and CEO of besties. Gemma holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and she is currently back at University studying Psychology. A non-executive board director of Carrie’s Beanies for Brain Cancer, she is also an advisory committee member of Soho House, Sydney. Her greatest joy is being a mum to her two young boys. You will see Gemma at most games, cheering on her beloved Sydney Swans and thinks it’s rude to say no to a French rosé!
